SCP-005 looks like a key that looks like it was produced in the 1920s. It was discovered when a civilian infiltrated a high security complex with the key.
SCP-005 has a unique ability to open any lock, be they mechanical or digital. The orign of this unique ability has yet to be known.
SCP-005 can be used as replacement for lost clearances, but only under supervision by a level 4 personnal.
SCP-005 schouldnt be used for vending machines repairs, opening lockers, or personnel's spare home key. Removing the object from the compound will result in termination.
While SCP-005 has shown to unlock any lock, further experiments has been shown that efforts in disguising the purpose or identity of a lock have been proven to at least somewhat successful in defeating SCP-005.
in approximatly 50% of cases where a volunteer was not able to identify a locking device as such, SCP-005 was not successful in deactivating the device due to the results, SCP-005 has been deemed sentient.
And furter test are being run to determine its cognitive abilitys. However theres no results that show any traits that prevent it being able it to identify any particular locking device,
only that the aforementioned device has been concealed disguise.
SCP-005 spawns in various locations!
One of the locations can be:
In Light contaiment, in its Contaiment chamber. A level 4 keycard or higher is required to open this room.
if the player grabs SCP-005, SCP-106 will come out of the wall infront of him and grab him.
In SCP-409s room in Heavy Contaiment. A level 4 keycard or higher is needet to open this room. SCP-005 will be behind the crystal forcing the player to touch it. If grabed from SCP-409 room SCP-005 will be crystallized itself and infect the player. To return SCP-005 back to normal insert SCP-005 in SCP-914 and put it on 1:1, Fine, or Very fine. it is recommendet to bring an SCP-005 pill to cure the player from the infection
Keep in mind that if you want to refine SCP-005 for "Rough", you will receive a "defective" key that opens all doors irrevocably (except for the checkpoint and a few more camps).
In Dr.Maynards room in Entrance Zone. A passcode will be needet to access the room. It can be found in SCP-106 pocked dimension on a paper.
